Flavor & Food Chemist

($30 - $75 per hour)

Description

We are looking for an innovative Food Scientist to provide technical expertise, and to assist with the development of current and future edible and beverage products containing THC.   The Food Scientist will create nutritional quality, flavor and texture of food products. To be successful in this role, you should interpret and apply scientific findings to food, know how to translate findings into innovative products, and understand how to translate business objectives into clear project goals. Responsibilities
  • Communicating with relevant parties regarding food quality and safety concerns
  • Utilizing formulation software to create and update formulations
  • Updating product information sheets for sales preparation and updated labels
  • Recording, analyzing and summarizing research data
  • Coordinating independent laboratory testing
  • Updating and maintaining MRP system
  • Adhering to GMP and other safety regulations
  • Performing other duties assigned by supervisor
  • Manufacture products according to Standard Operation Protocols (SOPs) and GMP. 
  •  Lead development and approval of product design specifications, food safety & quality standards and manufacturing process parameters  
  • Conduct laboratory research in accordance with stipulated protocols and quality and safety standards. 
  • Prepare and maintain research findings, summaries, logs and notes,
  • develops statistical results of research. 
  • Maintain accurate records of project history (electronic and physical)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or a related field
  • Ability to use internal and external sources to make technical scientific advances
  • Proven ability of working in a laboratory
  • Experience with confectionary and/or beverage experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of data science

Education

  • PhD preferred in chemistry or related field Job Duties:  
  • Raw material analysis and production batches.  
  • Develop and/or improve new and existing products including formulations and flavors, based on defined customer or in-house requirements.  
  • Strong working knowledge of experimental design & product development protocols (from concept to execution), including formulation, stability testing, product/package interaction, sensory and consumer testing methodology

Facility Sanitizers

($18 - $25 per hour)
Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of cleaning duties, while maintaining all public and private sectors to the employer’s standards.
  • These duties will include, but are not limited to surface cleaning, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and bathroom services. • The primary responsibility of the Facility sanitizer is to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the production facility.
  • Daily cleaning duties throughout the facility including bathrooms, floors, laboratories and manufacturing & packaging areas
  • Assist Processing departments in Equipment cleaning and sanitation processes.
  • Emptying all trash in facility and keeping facility clear of trash and debris.
  • Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of floors.
  • Ensure waste is disposed of properly and in accordance with the Cannabis Control Commission regulations
  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on restocking of janitorial and bathroom supplies in addition to building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure necessary paper products (paper towels and toilet paper) are restocked as needed
  • Dusting and cleaning of ceiling vents, and surrounding surfaces

Purchasing Agent

Part Time / Full Time $25-35 per hour
Responsibilities
  • Profitable procurement and timely delivery of products.
  • Works closely with Senior management to achieve the goals of the company.
  • Procures product in accordance with all policies and procedures established by the company Responsibilities.
  • Resolves any Vendor discrepancies for Invoices, Purchase Orders, Missing COA’s, Compliance Violations, and Metric Manifests.
  • Develops strong relationships with suppliers of cannabis products to ensure consistent access to product for our clients.
  • Complete and track all Purchase Orders.
  • Manages all data entry for new products, promotions and discounts
  • Ensure accuracy of data and analysis
  • Anticipates potential problems and risks; generates ideas, insights and solutions to resolve potential problems.
  • Proposes and executes solutions for issues identified during analysis of data

Runner / Driver

Responsibilities
  • facilitating and transporting laboratory samples to outside labs for product analysis in a professional, safe, and compliant manner.
  • The Delivery Driver must adhere to strict time schedules, specific routes, and complete and maintain delivery logs while keeping accurate counts of materials that have been picked up or dropped off.
  • Check all orders to ensure they contain the correct items and perform a quality check control
  • Verify the addresses, route plan and Complete reports and delivery documentation as required
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years in a driving/delivery role or in cannabis

Equipment Technician

Full or part time ($20.00 - $35.00 per hour)

Responsibilites:
  • Inspect, maintain and repair industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Test and observe equipment and machinery using tools such as· voltmeters and other testing devices to diagnose malfunctions and make repairs as needed.
  • Care for machinery and equipment by cleaning them after use,· adjusting parts and lubricating moving components as needed to ensure proper, efficient function.
  • Examine moving parts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for· signs of excessive wear, defects and damage.
  • Record all maintenance and repair services performed, and keep· track of all materials and parts used during the repair process.
  • Order or request orders to be placed to replenish materials and· parts when inventory grows low or is depleted.
  • Study manufacturer manuals and blueprints and carefully

  • Operate simple packaging automation equipment

Compliance and Record Management

Responsibilities:

Compliance:

  • Communicate with regulatory compliance requirements, changes in regulatory requirements, and/or clarification and follow-up of submissions under review. 
  • Enforcement of SOPs for CCC Compliance.
  • Escort state inspectors during inspections and provide post-inspection follow-up information as requested.
  • Analyze regulatory deficiencies or complaints and make recommendations regarding their correction. This includes working closely, day-to-day with our Production Lead and Inventory Director.
  • Assist Management with investigation of cash and inventory discrepancies.
  • Interpret regulatory rules or rule changes and ensure that they are communicated through corporate policies and procedures, including communication with Executives and Management.
  • Assist with review of product promotional materials, labeling, batch records, specification sheets, or test methods for compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Compile and maintain regulatory documentation databases or systems.
  • Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations and obtain and distribute updated information regarding regulations, laws, guidelines, or standards.
  • Prepare or assist with the preparation of additional information or responses as requested by regulatory agencies.
  • Recommend changes to company procedures in response to changes in regulations or standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience in a regulatory compliance position or experience in the cannabis industry is required.

We are looking for lab assistants to work with chemists in our laboratories in Rowley and North Reading MA formulating edible & topical products containing marijuana active ingredients.
